Peaks – Thubten Wangchen a la Serra d'Ensija
27 March 2013
In this CIMS chapter, we will go with the buddhist monk Thubten Wangchen a la Serra d'Ensija, in the Berguedà region.
Thubten Wangchen is a Buddhist lama, fundador de la Casa del Tibet a Barcelona i membre del Parlament tibetà a l'exili. He was born in Kyirong, al Tibet, and had to flee to Kathmandu, the capital of nepal, travessant l'Himàlaia, when the Chinese invaded Tibet and killed his mother. Posteriorment visqué a l'Índia, where he was a beggar for many years to survive. At the age of sixteen he became a Buddhist monk and lived in Namgyal Monastery, on va conviure durant onze anys amb l'actual Dalai-lama, Tenzin Gyatso. It's almost 30 years that he has been in Barcelona.
with Thubten Wangchen, always dressed as a monk, we will go up to the Galina Pelada, of 2.321 metres, el punt mes alt de la Serra d'Ensija, in the Berguedà region. "Els monjos budistes del Tibet portem els colors roig i groc, son colors espirituals que a més en protegeixen del fred". From the top of the Gallina Pelada we want to see the sun rise.
