Visiting Mexico, Lobsang Sangay asks the Mexican Government to ask the Chinese Government to respect the autonomy of Tibet and the rights of Tibetans.
“We understand that they have a relationship with China, that the meeting with the president of China is positive, but now, for the sake of a better business relationship, must propose Mexican values; talk about human rights and freedoms, because if you talk about money and morals it is a good agenda. “We would like you to talk about human rights in Tibet”, stated at the Despierta con Loret table.
Sangay recalled that Freedom House, an independent organization dedicated to the expansion of freedom and democracy in the world, “publishes a report every year, according to which Syria is the country with the least freedom and the penultimate place was for Tibet”.
