You may have read that they have arrested three men in relation to the murders of Akong Tulku Rinpoche, His nephew and his assistant.

As you know, Akong Tulku Rinpoché was about to embark on his annual visit to the projects of Rokpa International, The humanitarian organization that founded, which provides education and health in the most isolated areas, To deliver the funds raised during the year.

We believe that the arrested tried to get these funds. Rinpoché died protecting them and has sacrificed his life to safeguard the money destined for the thousands of Tibetans who depend on Rinpoche.

The family has felt comforted with affectionate messages and thoughts and prayers by Choje Akong Rinpoche.

MESSAGE OF THE TSONDRU LAMA:

Now the teacher's mind is not confined or limited by the aggregates, is the pure dharmakaya, Buddha's mind. Practice these 49 days, melting our mind with yours will help us on our spiritual growth and also to feel your presence.

Akong Rinpoché had already warned us many times that this could happen, and that when it happened, Let's not think that he had abandoned us. He promised to continue taking care of us from where he was. He is still alive within those who have a connection with him.

Dear friends at the Dharma,

I have been informed of the tragic death of our beloved spiritual father, Ákong Tulku Rinpoché. Like all of you, I'm dismayed and I feel immense sadness. What has happened, although it seems inexplicable and is horrendous, It has happened, And it is concluded. There is nothing we can do. Rinpoché has given his life for others. Today a strange and intense silence reigns in the world. Today thousands of people have run out of sun.

For my part, I do not see that I can do anything better than to continue my retirement period as planned. I will do so. But I feel very close with everyone who felt united to Rinpoche. Now, I think our best tribute is to seek, as good as we can, Keep alive the great inspiration that has been Rinpoche's life, Through our own lives.
