MARIÁN SERÉN (TVE correspondent in China).- A Chinese newspaper has bypassed censorship to demand on the front page the release of one of its journalists, arrested by police. "Por favor, free our companion" says the headline. and below: "Somos un periódico pequeño, pero tenemos muchas agallas". The newspaper reports that the journalist was arrested for uncovering the alleged false accounting of a company owned in part by the Chinese government.. The heads of the newspaper's Economy section have been hiding for days.
