Beijing (Reuters) – The people of Tibet should not be fooled by the Dalai Lama's lies and should clearly understand the importance of Communist Party rule in the region, Chinese authorities stated before the significant number anniversary 60 from the leader's departure to exile, which is commemorated in March.

He added that the Dalai Lama has tried to use hostile forces in Western media to spread his “rumors and slander.”” against China to promote Tibetan independence, ignoring the freedoms and respect agreed for the people of Tibet.

The head of the Tibetan government in exile, based in North India, denounced the criticism against the Dalai Lama and affirmed that he is the solution to the problem because the vast majority of Tibetans accept him as their leader.
The Dalai Lama gave a lecture on ancient Indian knowledge in Mumbai on Friday, but did not directly mention current relations with China.
“Violence always brings suffering”, he said in comments streamed live on his Facebook page. “Basic human nature is more compassionate”, He added.
