The Tibetan settlement of Phuntsokling is located 80 km from Gopalpur, one of the places closest to the epicenter of Cyclone Phailin that devastated the eastern coast of India. The corn crop was completely destroyed, Fruit trees were also seriously affected., casas, stables and electric poles. Fortunately, There were no fatalities in the camp.
The estimated losses due to this misfortune amount to about 240 thousand euros.
