New Delhi, 11 feb (EFE).- El exilio tibetano en la India expresó hoy su "aprecio" for the international search and capture order issued by the Spanish Justice against five former Chinese leaders, including former president Jiang Zemin, for the repression in Tibet.

"Estamos al tanto de esa orden internacional a través de amigos españoles y la apreciamos", Tempa Tsering told Efe, representative in New Delhi of the Tibetan Government in exile, which is based in the city of Dharamsala, in northern India.

"Todo lo que se haga en el sentido de condenar la represión que sufren los tibetanos es bueno", Tsering commented..

La reacción del exilio tibetano se produce horas después de que el Gobierno chino calificara hoy de "decisión errónea" the order issued by the judge of the National Court Ismael Moreno against Zemin and four other former Chinese officials.

"Espero que todas las partes, including our friends from the press, puedan distinguir lo bueno de lo malo y ver claramente el daño que hace la decisión errónea de las instancias españolas", an official Chinese source told foreign journalists.

At a press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Hua Chunying, expresó su confianza en que España maneje "apropiadamente" the matter, para preservar el entendimiento y las las "buenas" relations between both countries.

Judge Moreno ordered on Monday the search and capture of the five former Chinese communist leaders for crimes of genocide, torture and crimes against humanity in the Chinese autonomous region of Tibet.

China annexed Tibet in 1950 and since then it has militarily occupied the region, located north of the Himalayas and which in some sections throughout history has been under the control of Beijing but has also experienced periods of independence. EFE
