Project summary
650 ELDERLY NUNS AND MONKS NEED OUR HELP
These monks and nuns live in isolation in Dharamsala and other Tibetan settlements in India and dedicate themselves to their daily Buddhist practices.. All of them are older than 60 years, They have no family and live in retirement. They are former monks and nuns who fled Tibet in hopes of continuing their Buddhist studies in a free country.. With this program, the DORC and the Casa del Tibet Foundation intend to help these elderly monks and nuns through a donation of 200 rupees (3 euros approximately) per monk and month with the aim of improving these conditions.
Aid management
The Casa del Tíbet Foundation will collect donations from all those who can and wish to collaborate with this project. These aids will be sent to Dharamsala to the DORC, where the aid coordinator and the treasurer will contact all beneficiaries, who mostly live in Dharamshala, and they will gather them at the Main Temple of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to deliver the aid. every three months, The coordinator will deliver the aid to each beneficiary who will sign the receipt of it in order to carry out a detailed control of the donations and their recipients..
