A light on the path

Atisha's best-known work is titled A Light on the Path and was written for Tibetans following the request of Jangchub Wo.. Establishes the complete Buddhist path framed in the three levels of motivation of the practitioner represented by the Hinayana paths, mahayana and vajrayana. Atisha's text thus became the origin of the traditions of Lam Rim or gradual stages on the path to Enlightenment., an approach to spiritual practice that is part of all schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
This text has four fundamental characteristics, The first is to show that there are no contradictions in the Buddha's teachings.. The second is that these should be taken as instructions for practice.. The third that allows you to easily understand the true essence of the teachings and the fourth that through study, By pondering and meditating on them you learn to cultivate what should be abandoned and what should be cultivated..
