Tibetan monk Thubten Wangchen, direct disciple of the Dalai Lama, will visit Tucumán to give a conference on peace and happiness at the Yoga Center directed by teacher Anant Singh.
Thubten Wangchen was just four years old when the Chinese invaded the Tibet region., in 1950. Chinese forces kidnapped his mother and shot her. The little boy fled with his father and two brothers walking for days through the icy mountains of the Himalayas.

After long years begging for alms, the Indian government carried out a campaign, promoted by the Dalai Lama, to collect all the Tibetan children exiled in India from the streets and offer them an education.
At sixteen years old a young Wangchen, attracted by spirituality, He decided to enter a monastery to learn more about the Buddhist religion.. He managed to enter Namgyal's, where he lived for eleven years with the Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso.
Currently, Wangchen is a deputy of the Tibetan government in exile and directs the House of Tibet in Barcelona, Spain.
