Dharamshala, 06 of August: A young Tibetan woman 22 years old is ready to start the march that no Tibetan has done before. The next 11 of August, Choeyang will become the first Olympian from Tibet.
Born in Tsochang, in the traditional Tibetan province of Amdo, Choeyang will make her London Olympics debut in the women's race walk 20 km.
Currently, ranks tenth in the world. Choeyang will compete with some of the biggest names in the sport.
Born on 11 November 1990, Choeyang began marching in Tibet, in 2008. Two years later, was selected for the Chinese national team.
One of his best international performances was last year when he placed fifth at the World Athletics Championships. 2011 in Daegu, Corea.
But his best race performance was this year at the Taicang IAAF Race Walking Challenge held in March.. The march ended 20 kilometers in 1 time, 27 minutes and 4 seconds.
The world record in the category is 1:25:08 and the Registry of the Olympic Games in 1:26:31, with which Choeyang is two steps away from getting on the podium.
The women's march 20 kilometers will be next 11 of August, a las 17h (local time). The athletes will march from the shopping center, passing by the Queen Victoria Memorial, completing 10 laps of the route 2 km.
