NP: Premiere of the Documentary “Rising Nepal” – Barcelona Design Museum

Thursday 3 November, The film/documentary “Rising Nepal” will premiere in Barcelona” by Miguel Ángel Tobías, in which he describes us, with his personal and poetic vision, the solidarity of people, love, friendship, bravery and wisdom.
Miguel Ángel Tobias, director of ACCA Media, film producer and director, documentaries and TV shows, brings us closer to Nepal three months after the catastrophe that devastated the country, with the testimony of several protagonists who overcame fear, the uncertainty, the confusion and suffering to start over and, little by little, recover normality, with determination and hope for a better future.
The production company ACCA Media, develops a charitable project every year (“Haiti Dreams”, “The boy, the condemnation” and now, “Rising Nepal”) with the aim of raising awareness about a specific cause, while helping to raise funds for a social entity, foundation or solidarity project.
In Barcelona, Miguel Ángel Tobías wanted the proceeds obtained from the screening of “Rising Nepal” goes to the BarcelonActua Foundation.
BarcelonActua is a Foundation that promotes the involvement of people in social action with the aim of helping to cover the social needs of our closest environment., and working neighborhood by neighborhood of the city. On this occasion, The funds will be used to expand its activities in the Raval neighborhood. A neighborhood in which every time, despite the supposed improvement in macroeconomic data since the beginning of the crisis, the number of people living socially excluded, is increasing.
The event will take place in the magnificent auditorium of the Barcelona Design Museum building (DHUB), in Plaça de les Glòries, 37 with the following program:
19h – 19.30h: Previous press conference, with the intervention of the director Miguel Angel Tobías and the President of the BarcelonActua Foundation, Laia Serrano
19.30h – 20h: Presentation of the film to those attending the event by its director, Miguel Ángel Tobías and brief presentation of the BarcelonActua Foundation by its President, Laia Serrano.
20h – 21.30h: film screening.
