The day 10 of March this year 2019 they will be fulfilled 60 years of the occupation of Tibet by the Chinese army and the loss of our independence. This year, will also be fulfilled 30 years of the kidnapping of the Panchen Lama, the youngest prisoner in the world, kidnapped by the Chinese government since the age of 6 years.
The situation in Tibet gets worse every day passing. The freedoms of the Tibetans are less and less. An example of this unsustainable situation is the immolation of 154 Tibetans in recent years, most of them young.
To this day, no one knows what is really happening in Tibet. The Chinese government silences everything related to the reality of Tibet and the International Community does not firmly condemn this aggression.
From your town hall you can help Tibet by showing your solidarity with a people who only seek true autonomy basing their cause on non-violence, following the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi and HH The Dalai Lama
This solidarity can manifest in various ways:
- Hoisting the Tibetan flag on the balcony of the town hall on the day 10 March.
- Schedule some kind of event to publicize the reality of Tibet: display, lecture, taller
