Una productora valenciana ha lanzado un crowfunding para ultimar y difundir a nivel internacional el documental 'Secuestrando el Tíbet', una cinta sobre la ocupación china y la vulneración de derechos humanos en este lugar que denuncia también el "secuestro de la Justicia" in Spain after the reform of universal jurisdiction laws in 2014.

l feature film, work of director Juanma Chevarrías and producer Samuel Sebastián, recorre la historia del Tíbet y su "atroz colonización", al tiempo que repasa cómo España se convirtió en el "único país en admitir una querella por genocidio y crímenes de lesa humanidad contra exdirigentes del Ejecutivo chino", a process that was paralyzed with the modification of universal jurisdiction, as explained by its authors to Europa Press.

For it, uses testimonies such as former magistrate Baltasar Garzón; the lawyer José Elías, who wrote the complaint against the Chinese Government; the Tibetan lama and member of the parliament in exile, Tubten Wangchen; the expert in the history of Tibet, Josep Lluís Alay; or the lama Lamsang of the Nagarjuna Center in Valencia, in addition to several Tibetan refugees in Spain.

The authors of the documentary have highlighted that, "por primera vez en la historia del Tíbet, un ciudadano encausó por lesa humanidad a exdirigentes políticos de China", and it was precisely in Spain.

"Teníamos una deuda pública de un billón de euros y el 20 percent had been bought by China. That's what he said (the former foreign minister) José Manuel García Margallo. That is the value that human rights had, les pusimos precio", they have asserted, antes de resaltar la "injerencia del poder legislativo sobre el judicial", in relation to the reform of the universal jurisdiction of 2014.

Los derechos humanos "nacieron en Europa en el s.XVIII y parece que hemos evolucionado, pero en realidad nos estamos cerrando en nuestra torre de marfil", has regretted, For its part, Sebastián. "'Secuestrando el Tíbet' nos quita esa venda", has stood out.

"EXPERIENCIA VITAL Y ANÁLISIS"

The idea of filming the documentary was born from Chevarrías' trips to India and the Himalayan mountains., that sparked your curiosity about visiting Tibet. "Allí, waiting for a visa, They kept us for a week.

Both have agreed to highlight, among the testimonies that the tape collects, that of Tubten Wangchen, representative in Europe of the Government in exile of Tibet, "pero al mismo tiempo una de las víctimas, un refugiados que vio cómo asesinaban a su madre embarazada", have reported.

"Desde el punto de vista de los occidentales, It seems like we always need to have an enemy, he is the complete opposite.

A 4.400 WORLD PREMIERE EUROS

'Secuestrando el Tíbet' has not had subsidies or institutional support, but it has been financed by the production company and its authors. It's practically finished, pero han iniciado un 'crowdfunding' to raise 4.400 euros and power, on the one hand, include a remaining recording and, on the other hand, give international dissemination to the work.

The documentary was previewed last 13 February in Valencia, dentro del Festival Internacional de Cine y Derechos Humanos 'Humans Fest'. They are precisely these types of contests, although outside of Europe, the screen to which its creators aspire for the world premiere of the documentary, a projection that is planned for the end of summer.

"Al mismo tiempo, we will contact televisions, but it is a documentary and an uncomfortable topic, interesa poco", they have regretted, before moving forward, nevertheless, They plan to hold screenings in Spain accompanied by Tibetan refugees.

"Este documental es de actualidad, not today but also tomorrow and in ten years, for the shame we experienced in Spain by not talking about this issue when we had the first judge to admit a complaint, something that happened so close to us and that people don't know about; but, above all, por sus consecuencias en la jurisdicción universal", the authors have highlighted.
