LA VANGUARDIA-EFE: Tibet and Human Rights Festival brings together a monk, a dissident and a senator

Barcelona, 11 dic (EFE). – The Tibet and Human Rights Festival brings together activist monk Golok Jigme this year, to the Chinese dissident Ming Xia and the French senator Andrés Gattolin, until next time 16 December in Barcelona to debate the situation of the Tibetan people.

As reported by the Casa del Tibet Foundation, Jigme dará una charla hoy sobre su "experiencia como prisionero del Gobierno chino por haber colaborado con Dhondup Wangchen en el rodaje de 'Leaving Fear Behind', documentary 25 minutos en el que se entrevista a tibetanos dentro del Tíbet sobre su opinión del Dalai Lama".

Xia impartirá la conferencia 'Asia: China & Tibet' next wednesday, day 13, and on thursday 14 de diciembre ofrecerá también la charla 'Derechos Humanos en China' to the students of International Relations at the Blanquerna University of Barcelona.

Besides, French senator Andrés Gattolin will speak on Friday 15 de diciembre sobre 'La cuestión del Tíbet desde una óptica internacional' at the Foundation headquarters.
