EVENT: SANTILLANA, the ATRESMEDIA Foundation and SAMSUNG, together for Education in Great Professions! 2017

[ES][OR] grandes profes. SANTILLANA, in collaboration with the ATRESMEDIA Foundation and SAMSUNG, launches a new edition of the great meeting for teachers that aims to motivate them, as well as recognizing their work in the classrooms. Digital competence and personal transformation are the topics that will inspire 'Great Professors’ 2017

. With the participation of different professionals from the academic field, this important educational event, which will be held on Saturday 4 February in Madrid, will be presented by the journalist Helena Resano

Professionals from different areas, as the Deputy Minister of Vocational Training of the Basque Government, Jorge Arevalo; the university professor and CEO of Barrabes.Biz, Luis Martin; The Buddhist monk, disciple of Dalai Dama, and founder of the House of Tibet in Barcelona, Thubten Wangchen; and the Spanish violinist of Armenian origin, Ara Malikian, inter alia,  They will share their experiences with attendees. In addition, They will give keys that can serve as inspiration and as an example to follow in the performance of their work with the students., at a time of enormous change in the educational field.



So, Jorge Arévalo will focus on the importance of preparing students with competencies and skills adapted to the needs of the future of work; Luis Martín will give guidelines that contribute to adaptation to the changing world in which we live and linked to the digital age; Thubten Wangchen will address personal transformation and practice mind relaxation and mindfulness techniques with attendees (mindfulness); and Ara Malikian will speak, from his personal and inspiring experience, of the ability we all have to face difficult situations.



This great event for the educational community will also feature a round table moderated byCarlos Magro, expert in digital strategy in the educational sector and creator of co.labora.red. In it, The guestsDolors Reig, social psychologist and professor specializing in social networks and innovation; Wizard More, expert in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality application (RA/RV); and David Calle, YouTuber engineer and professor (the only Spanish finalist for the Global Teacher Prize 2016) They will analyze the keys to face the incorporation and development of digital competence in students and teachers. She further , They will debate the usefulness of ICTs and social networks how –and not only- tools at the service of teaching.
