EL PULSO.ES: Thubten Wangchen: “The Dalai Lama will live 103 years"

engagement3-1024x768In Madrid, the Tibetan parliamentarian outlined some reasons for hope for his people, victim of chinese occupation.

“Any Tibetan can be imprisoned if the Chinese guards discover an image of the Tibetan on his cell phone.” Dalai Lama.”

Without moving the smile from your face, and even adding the tagline “but… ¡GOOD!” every time he recounted a bloody event for his people, the lama Thubten Wangchen, MP elected by Tibetans (of a Parliament in exile, without international recognition) for Europe, offered a conference in Madrid, within his endless world tour to raise attention to the reality of the Tibetan people.

This is a drama that powerful Chinese business interests in the world hide and manipulate., to the point that no International Organization speaks out about the occupation of the Tibet for many years, and a topic that the mass media, as part of the global commercial apparatus, they ignore it because it is uncomfortable or semi-forbidden.

At his conference, Wangchen highlighted that, so far this year, 78 young Tibetans have committed self-immolation, setting themselves on fire rather than using violence against a Chinese, unable to bear the pain of the prolonged plundering of his country, Chinese military surveillance of its monasteries, the absence of freedom of education, press… He stated that China is leading to Tibet, where its greatest rivers originate (the yellow, the Mekong and the Yangtze), radioactive waste and contaminating its waters. That your country is not small, but the third part of today's China, and that territorial domain includes gold mines, copper and a lot of uranium, plus gas.

Wangchen clarified that Tibet has never been part of China, and that already in the 8th century, peacefully, he had to stop his neighbor's feet, getting to sign a treated of mutual respect between both countries that today the Chinese have erased from the pillar where it was written.

But true to hope, and to the Buddhist philosophy that proclaims (and practice) harmony and a peace that begins with oneself to extend to others, Wangchen recalled the example of Gandhi and left two arguments for hope in his country. On the one hand, the certainty that the Dalai Lama, a very strong symbol for your cause, will live ("If something strange doesn't happen, because the Chinese are very Chinese” ) until the 103 years, and will leave very specific instructions on how to identify your reincarnation.

On the Chinese side, Wangchen revealed that there was also a light having learned that the wife of the new Chinese president, Xi JiPing, She is an ardent practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism., and the president's own father is a great admirer of the Dalai Lama.
