The lama who signed the complaint for the genocide in Tibet visits the Rototom festival
The lama Thubten Wangchen, exiled in Barcelona, representative of Tibet in Spain and signatory of the complaint for the genocide of his people in a case recently filed by the National Court, has been through the festival Rototom Sunsplash from Benicàssim to participate in a forum on Universal Justice. "Siento vergüenza del Gobierno de España por cambiar la paz por el dinero de China", said Wednesday before a hundred attendees. The lama criticized the reform of the Organic Law of the Judicial Power that limited the universal justice and caused, among others, the immediate filing of the case on the genocide in Tibet.
Wangchen was preceded by lawyer José Elías Esteve, editor of the two complaints presented in the National Court for genocide and crimes against humanity committed against the Tibetan people. Esteve habló del "terremoto diplomático" what it meant for the lama to testify in court and the insistence on filing the case.
The representative of Tibet in Spain called to support the Tibetan cause because, said: "China no podrá invadir España como hizo en el Tíbet, but yes it can invade us economically".
Along with social debates, Today the Rototom will give prominence to thereggae Spanish on two of the six stages located in the Benicàssim concert venue.
The Rapsusklei FT Sr concert. Wilson on the Main Stage and Auxili's performances (Valencia), Pope Man (Castellon) and Aspencat (Alicante) at the Showcase, as well as Blank Generation Sound shows (Madrid), Highlight (Barcelona) and the Rude Wagon from Zaragoza at the Ska Club highlight the weight that national groups have acquired in recent years on the roots reggaeInternational.
Midnite's great Rototom Sunsplash debut stands out on the Main Stage, that with the hypnotic rhythms of its long compositions and the enveloping voice of its singer, Vaughn Benjamin, represent a unique experience in the world of roots reggae thanks to its particular origin: the small Caribbean island of Santa Cruz (St. Croix), in the Virgin Islands archipelago.
