Tibetan leaders reiterate their commitment to the Middle Way policy

El Kalon Tripa, Lobsang Sangay, Prime Minister of the Central Tibetan Administration, has regretted accepting the resignation of the Special Envoys of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lodi Gyari and Kelsang Gyaltsen. Their resignations became effective on 1 June.
Special Envoy Lodi Gyari, with the assistance of Envoy Kelsang Gyaltsen, led the Tibetan team through nine rounds of talks with Chinese government representatives since 2002. The last meeting took place more than two years ago, in January 2010. Despite Gyari's desire to resign in April 2011, Kalon Tripa asked both envoys to continue their efforts to contact their Chinese counterparts..
