Security Lobsang Branch, Tibetan exile and political successor of the Dalai Lama

The Dalai Lama's political successor, Security Lobsang Branch, has granted an interview with The avant -garde where he states that they are not secessionists “but realists” and that “an autonomy like the Catalan one in Spain would be enough for them”, as they already requested in a memorandum of the year 2010 called Via Intermedia.

El sucesor del Dalái Lama se daría por satisfecho con la posibilidad de que los tibetanos en el exilio como él mismo pudieran volver a Tíbet y vivir según su "identidad cultural”.

They don't want independence

Sikyong Lobsang Sangay has stressed that “they are not asking for independence, only a cultural autonomy within China” that had a recognition similar to that of Catalonia within Spain.

Sangay has denounced that the Chinese Government “bans the Tibetan language in schools” and that they are “tortured and imprisoned until disability or death” to those who defend their culture.

For them, A cultural status like that enjoyed by Catalonia within Spain would be an ideal come true.. It would mean respect for their culture and language where now there is only confrontation and belligerent opposition on the part of the Chinese Government.

More than a million dead

The retaliation of the Chinese Executive is so brutal that they have exterminated a million Tibetans and destroyed 6.000 monasteries, he 98% of those who were in 1950.

However, This political leader of the Tibetan cause is compassionate and affirms that he would never expel the Chinese from Tibet.
