He 13 In February, a peaceful demonstration was held that left the Casa Tibet Foundation headquarters and ended with a rally in Plaza Sant Jaume.. This very important day for all Tibetans, since they are fulfilled 100 years of the Proclamation of Independence of Tibet by the 13th Dalai Lama.
It also coincided with the Lhakar, or white Wednesday, a Tibetan resistance movement initiated within Tibet in the late 19th century 2008 with concrete actions to promote Tibetan identity.
About 100 personas, between Tibetans and sympathizers with the Tibetan cause. The demonstration concluded with the singing of the national anthem of Tibet and a request to the Catalan authorities and the international community not to let Tibetan culture become extinct.. China was also urged to respect the Fundamental Human Rights of the Tibetan people.
