CAT: Open letter to José Antonio Griñán, president of the PSOE, with reference to the reform of universal jurisdiction

CAT (Tibet Support Committee)

After our short tour of the United Kingdom explaining the recent success of the Tibet case and the reaction of the conservative PP government in flagrant submission to China's anger and pressure:

The Bar Human Rights Committee of England and Wales ('BHRC'), Garden Court International (GCI), Garden Court Chambers (‘GCI’), Red Lion Chambers (‘RLC’) y Doughty Street Chambers International Criminal Law Team (‘DSC’) broadcast today, 21 March 2014, a open letter addressed to the lord José Antonio Griñán, president of the Spanish Socialist Workers Party, with reference to the recent reform of universal jurisdiction in Spain.

Through said letter, The B.H.R.C., GCI, RLC and DSC expressed their deepest concern about the reform, which will drastically limit the jurisdiction of Spanish courts with respect to international crimes.
