He was born in Tibet and 5 years he was forced to leave his country after the invasion of the country by China. He survived by begging on the streets of Kathmandu, Nepal. Shortly after, was able to enter a school for Tibetan refugees in Dalhousie, India, where he studied his own language, culture, history, Buddhist art and philosophy, as well as English and Hindi.
To the 16 years he decided to enter a monastery to further study Buddhist philosophy and later, at the Dalai Lama's private monastery, where he spent eleven years studying. After an intense cultural exchange with the West, Wangchen, tireless defender of Human Rights, decided to open a center in Spain and founded the House of Tibet in Barcelona.
Thubten Wangchen wanted to share with all of us that we must live in peace and harmony and that it does not matter if we are blonde, brown, men. or women since everyone's goal is to achieve happiness. Mindfulness can help us with this and, also, to teachers who can learn a lot with this technique.
"Los profesores tienen que transmitir los valores, el conocimiento y la sabiduria a los alumnos", added Thubten Wangchen and explained that everything, you can learn something.
Profesores de toda España han asistido al encuentro '¡Great Professors! 2017' organized by the Atresmedia Foundation, in collaboration with Santillana and Samsung, with the aim of paying tribute to teachers, as well as recognizing their daily work in the classrooms.
