MEDITATION FOR EVERYDAY LIFE

8 October | 16:30

Meditation is a journey towards understanding the nature of the mind and the reality that surrounds us..
Currently we find countless different modalities of meditation, with very diverse objectives and expectations.
Here we will practice analytical meditations, guided.

Why meditate?
Meditation is a method to develop our great potential as human beings., cultivating love, equanimity, gratitude, compassion and wisdom…
Regardless of the tradition in which it is practiced, Meditation is a method to free ourselves from our patterns of dependency and reactivity, With daily personal work we advance in the knowledge of the functioning of our mind, our behavior patterns, our habits, tendencies. This leads us to greater freedom in our emotional responses and thus bring us closer, step by step, to see reality as it is, at the same time that a change is taking place in the way we look at others., of the world and of us.
Meditation requires a conscious will in practice and dedication. Today everyone talks about meditating, of the ego, of attachment... Bookstores are full of books... But reading books, or listening to lectures does not change our life. Just because a person listens to a lot of music does not make them a musician.. We must practice with daily consistency to experience how the practice of meditation changes our lives., with the aim of having more resources to face the difficulties of life and live with greater well-being and fulfillment.
Meditate together in a group, in this weekly meeting, It is a valuable opportunity to deepen the path of meditation.

POEM “I WILL NOT DIE AN UNLIVED LIFE” by Dawna Markova
I won't die a life unlived
I won't live in fear
to fall or catch fire.
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my life to open up to me,
to make me less scared,
more accessible,
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my importance;
live in a way
that what came to me as a seed
move on to the next like flower
and what came to me like a flower,
continue as fruit.
