WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY: CONFERENCE ON EMOTIONAL HYGIENE, SCIENCE AND BUDDHISM BY GUESHE DAMCHOE

Each 10 October marks World Mental Health Day and aims to raise awareness about the importance of mental well-being as an integral part of general health and reduce the stigma associated with mental disorders..
This date was established in 1992 by the World Federation for Mental Health in collaboration with the WHO and is celebrated in more than 100 countries.
To 2026, The chosen motto is “Match with your mental health” and focuses on the mental health of young people, promoting listening to emotions, seeking help when needed and creating supportive communities.
From the Casa del Tíbet Foundation we want to join this commemoration. Next Saturday day 10 October, Gueshe Damchoe-la impartirá una conferencia sobre higiene emocional, science and buddhism. Buddhist teachings can help manage emotions, to mental calm to achieve a state of inner peace that provides health to the body and mind. His Holiness the Dalai Lama says “if the mind is occupied with positive thoughts, it is more difficult for the body to get sick”.
