WORLD DAY OF ACTION FOR TIBET. PEACEFUL MARCH FROM THE HOUSE OF TIBET FOUNDATION.

2 August 2026 – World Day of Action for Tibet

He 2 August 2026 will mark a Global Day of Action called by the family, friends and supporters of Pawo Lobga Rangzen (Lobsang Palden), Tibetan activist who blew himself up in front of the United Nations headquarters in New York on 2 July 2026.
The demonstrations and events that will take place in different parts of the world, one month after his sacrifice, They aim to honor his last words and continue his call for the freedom and rights of the Tibetan people..

The objectives of this international day are:

1. Protest against the occupation and policies of the Chinese Government in Tibet.
Keep alive the denunciation of the repression and policies applied in Tibet, as well as expressing solidarity with the Tibetan people.

2. Demand the repeal of the “Law of Ethnic Unity and Progress”.
Urge governments, parliamentarians and representatives of the international community to ask the Chinese authorities to repeal this legislation, considered by its critics as a restrictive measure of Tibetan freedoms and cultural identity.

3. Reigniting international activism for a free Tibet.
Promote greater global awareness of the situation in Tibet, break the international silence—especially that of the United Nations—and maintain the momentum of initiatives in defense of the rights and dignity of the Tibetan people.

On this date, people and organizations from all over the world are called to participate through rallies, watches, public events and awareness campaigns, reaffirming its commitment to justice, human rights and the preservation of Tibetan identity and culture.

The Tibetan Community and the Casa del Tibet Foundation have organized a peaceful march from the Foundation's headquarters on Rosselló Street 181, which will advance along Rambla Catalunya until reaching Plaça Catalunya where the march will end with an act of prayer and silence.
