One more year we have the honor of receiving at the Casa del Tibet Foundation three prestigious specialists in Tibetan Traditional Medicine and Astrology of the Mentsee-Khang (Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute) de Dharamsala: el Dr. Sonam Dorjee, el Dr. Lhundup Dorjee, and the astrologer Mr.. Karma Yeshi. All will be consultations at our headquarters 9 al 13 June.

Dr. Sonam Dorjee
ElDr. Sonam Dorjee was born on 15 of January of 1969 in Lhasa, Tibet. He completed his primary and secondary studies in Lhasa where he learned fluent Tibetan and Chinese.. In February of 1987, He exiled to India where he learned English in Mussoori. in 1988, el Dr. Dorjee began six years of intensive study of Traditional Tibetan Medicine and obtained the degree of Ka-Chu on 1 April 1994. Of the 1995 a 1998, worked as a resident doctor at the Men Tsee Khang clinic in Ladakh, and later as medical director at the same clinic. He worked at the Men Tsee Khang clinic in Dehradun between 1998 and 2000 and then in Poanta between 2001 and 2009. in 2004, passed Men Tsee Khang's Chinese language certificate that allowed him to conduct research in advanced acupuncture therapy in Taiwan on two occasions. When he returned to India, conducted numerous workshops for students and doctors of Men Tsee Khang sharing his experience and strengthening the therapeutic objectives of the doctors of the institute. in 2005, successfully passed the Menrampa preliminary exam. After, in 2012, He completed the final exam, obtaining the Menrampa title., equivalent to a medical degree. in 2014, received the degree Nyewe Bumrampa, equivalent to Associate Professor, for his excellence and contribution to Tibetan Medicine. in 2017, el Dr. Dorjee continued to serve at the Men Tsee Khang clinics in Majnukatilla and Dharamshala. Currently, works at the Men Tsee Khang clinic in Bir, having completed thirty years of dedicated service.

Dr. Lhundup Dorjee
ElDr. Lhundup Dorjee is a distinguished doctor of Traditional Tibetan Medicine (Rigpa the owl) Widely respected for his clinical expertise, its academic excellence and its commitment to the advancement of Tibetan medical science in both the traditional and integrative fields of health care. Born in 1982 in a village in southwestern Tibet, and went into exile in India 1997 to access an education and be free under the blessing of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. He completed his primary studies at the Schools for Tibetan Children (Tibetan Children’s Village School, TCV), where he also completed his secondary school exams. His excellent academic skills and leadership abilities earned him numerous recognitions and awards during his time as a student.. He joined Men Tsee Khang to study Traditional Tibetan Medicine and in 2013 He was awarded the rank of Kha-Chu-Pa, equivalent to the degree in Tibetan Medicine and Surgery (BTMS). His qualifications also include a certificate in basic and clinical acupuncture practice.. His clinical and research practice covers a broad spectrum of health conditions., including metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney problems, liver disorders, hypertension, supportive care for cancer, psychosomatic diseases, and neurological disorders among others. During his work at Men Tsee Khang's clinic in Bengaluru, was actively involved in clinical research, especially diabetes mellitus and its treatment with Tibetan Medicine. He performed a very significant community service, including volunteering as a doctor in care facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. His international experience includes multiple visits to Argentina, South America and Kazakhstan and other regions, where he offered specialized medical consultations, treatments to different groups of patients and conducted workshops and professional conferences on Sowa Rigpa for local communities and professionals. He is currently working as a resident doctor at Nizamuddin Men Tsee Khang Clinic in New Delhi..

TASP (Astrophysical Science Practitioner) Karma Yeshi
Mr.. Karma Yeshi was born in Lhasa, tibet. He completed his primary and secondary education from Upper T.C.V, Dharamshala.. He studied Traditional Tibetan Astroscience for six years and graduated in March 2020. Since July 2020, has been working in Men Tsee Khang's Astrology department as a Tibetan Astroscience practitioner offering services such as detailed horoscopes, medical horoscopes, annual predictions, marital compatibility letters, and death letters. He has given oral consultations in both Tibetan and English since 2022. He has participated in various Tibetan medicine and astrology tours. He currently works at the Men Tsee Khang Department of Astrology and Research leading courses on Tibetan horoscopes at centers such as TANADUK.. He is also an active member of the institute's publications in the magazine Sman Rtsis Journal (Volume VII), in which he has worked on issues related to mental health and Astroscience (signs of the year and mewas). Assisted department head by providing oral consultations for KunPhen patients.

Sr. Dhondup Palden
Mr.. Dhondup Palden completed his primary and secondary studies at the Tibetan Children's Schools (TCV Tibetan Children’s Village). He studied a degree in Commerce at Loyola College, Andhra Pradesh and the master's degree in Business Economics at MS University, Baroda. From June to December 2025 He worked as secretary of the Central School for Tibetans. He also worked as an accountant at the Tibetan Center for Conflict Resolution since January 2006 until February 2007. He joined Men Tsee Khang in March 2007 as chief internal auditor and continues as manager of the southern clinics, accountant and general secretary of Men Tsee Khang.
