67TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UPRISING OF THE TIBETAN PEOPLE

Tibetans and sympathizers of the Tibetan cause will gather this Tuesday 10 March 2026 from 18:30 h in front of the Palau de la Generalitat in Plaça Sant Jaume to remember the 67 anniversary of the revolt of the Tibetan people that led the Dalai Lama and thousands of Tibetans into exile in 1959.

The situation, far from improving, worsens every day in Tibet. The fundamental rights of Tibetans within Tibet have been violated for some time. 67 years without the international community taking letters in the matter. The strategy of the Chinese government with Xi Jinping is to dissolve the Tibetan identity and that of the other minorities in the country.

This year we will not do a march from the Fundació, We will meet directly at Plaça Sant Jaume at 18:30h.

Help us raise our voice in defense of the identity of the Tibetan people who are at risk of extinction within Tibet!!
