To know the history of Tibet, Photographer Ángel López Soto offers a sample of 23 Photographs thanks to which it will be possible to discover how the Himalayan mountain range has witnessed the exodus of the Tibetan people. For this reason, the mountain range is the protagonist of an exhibition, which offers the visitor exceptional images of places in India such as Dharamsala, or also some of the many steps that Tibetans have to cross to get to Nepal.
Since the year 1997, López Soto has accompanied with his camera the 150.000 exiled tibetans in the world after the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1949. For it, has made thirty trips to various countries in the Himalayan region where there are the largest number of refugees and where, in Dharamsala (India), was received by Dalai Lama, spiritual and political leader of the Tibetan people with whom he has met again over the years. He has also visited various countries in North America and Europe for this purpose..
Accompanied by texts written by the Planeta award winner Javier Moro and the filmmaker Gerardo Olivares, The exhibition shows the spectacular landscapes of the highest region on earth with its monasteries and temples, as well as the pilgrimage sites of Buddhism and the life of Tibetan communities in exile.
The exhibition can be visited of the 2 from February to 3 March in the facilities of the travel store that B the travel Brand has on C/Miguel Ángel 33, in the heart of Madrid. The entrance is free and visiting hours go from the 10:00h until 20:00h uninterruptedly.
