XIII Human Rights Cycle & Tibet Festival at Casa del Tíbet Foundation in Barcelona

18:00 -Opening ceremony with the presence of the guest of honor, S.E. KUNDELING TATSAK RINPOCHE.

 

We will welcome a new edition of the Human Rights Festival, a space dedicated to reflection, dialogue and action to promote the essential values ​​of dignity, equality and freedom.
This festival is not only a cultural meeting, but also a platform to give a voice to those who often do not have, build bridges of understanding and mobilize for a more just and supportive world.
Human rights are not just an ideal, but a commitment that we have to protect and defend every day. This festival wants to be a meeting point to unite us in diversity and remember that the desire for a more just and supportive world unites us all..

 

19:00 -Full Moon Puja. It will be special due to the presence of H.E KUNDELING TATSAK RINPOCHE together with our director, Thubten Wangchen la.

 

Puja It is a name of Sanskrit origin that means offering, tribute, adoration… The director of the Casa del Tibet Foundation will lead this special Full Moon ceremony with the recitation of mantras and prayers, accompanied by offerings (chuck). Attendees who wish to do so can bring flowers., foods, drinks, incense, candles, etc. At the end of the ceremony, food and drinks are shared among attendees.. Free entry.

18:00 – photo exhibition 90 years of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the Casa del Tíbet Foundation.

 

Last July, a significant date for Buddhism and the history of Tibet, since his Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, has celebrated his 90th birthday. This spiritual leader, the influence of which transcends religious and geographical boundaries, commemorated nine decades marked by his role as a defender of peace, human rights and autonomy of Tibet. 19.00 – Book presentation “ETibet was never part of China” of the Department of Information and International Relations (WARM) of the Central Tibetan Administration, and the graphic novel “Dalai Lama, The Soldier of Peace” by Vijay Karanti .

 

The event will feature the presentation of two outstanding works: the manifesto “Tibet was never part of China”, that questions Chinese historical claims, and the graphic novel “Dalai Lama, the soldier of peace”, a story about the history of Tibet and the career of the 14th Dalai Lama.

After the presentations, S.E. Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche owill offer a colloquium together to Venerable Wangchenla to address the current situation inside Tibet.

The foundation will give away free copies of both books to attendees, accepting donations to cover editing costs. Voluntary contribution.

18.00 h.- Concert of songs and dances from Tibet performed by a group of Tibetan artists living in Switzerland, formed in the “Tibetan Institute of Performing Artes” STATE, India.

 

The Tibetan Folk Ensemble of the Tibetan Community of Switzerland and Liechtenstein is dedicated to preserving and transmitting the Tibetan culture of music and dance.. The group, composed of volunteers, He rehearses twice a month to prepare performances that finance his activities. It was founded in 1966 to safeguard Tibetan cultural heritage after China's occupation of Tibet in 1949 and the subsequent exile of the Dalai Lama and thousands of Tibetans. Voluntary Contribution.

Closing of the festival
The culmination of the festival is celebrated with the Green Tara Initiation.
11.00 – GREEN TARA Initiation A Buddhist practice of active compassion and liberating wisdom.

 

on sunday 9 November 2025, at 11:00, S.E. Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoché, a renowned figure of Tibetan Buddhism, will give the Green Tara initiation at the Casa del Tíbet Foundation in Barcelona. This ceremony is open to the public., and offers the opportunity to receive a direct blessing and teaching on Green Tara, a deity representing active compassion and wisdom

Contribution of 10 € for members of the Casa del Tibet Foundation and 20 € for non-members to cover expenses.

“Since places are limited, We suggest you stop by the Casa del Tíbet to purchase your ticket and thus ensure your attendance”

At the end of the activities, pica-pica will be offered to attendees, traditional sweet rice with nuts “trained”, tibetan cookies “khabses” and sweet tea “chai”.
