EXTRAORDINARY COURSE OF HIS HOLINESS GYANA VAJRA RINPOCHE BY SAKYA GEPHEL LING

We are pleased to announce that the next 30 and 31 May we welcome again at Sakya Gephel Ling, Barcelona, the extraordinary visit of His Holiness Gyana Vajra Rinpoche.

His Holiness Gyana Vajra Rinpoche, He is the son of S.S.. Gongma Trichen Rinpoche (41º Sakya Trizin), born in Dehradun (India) he 5 July 1979, coinciding with the sacred birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava. During his childhood, He studied with Venerable Rinchen Sangpo, with his brother, S.S. Dungsay Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, the 42nd Sakya Trizin, and received from his Noble Father, S.S. Gongma Trichen Rinponche, numerous exoteric and esoteric teachings, Secret, Common and not common, Major initiations, transmissions and instructions, as well as other Vajradaras. Completed his training at the Sakya Center, He furthered his studies in Buddhist philosophy at Sakya College, Sakya University, and has made numerous withdrawals. In March of 2022, His Holiness was enthroned as the 43rd Sakya Trizin or Chief Upholder of the Sakya Tradition, an unbroken lineage in Tibet, from «Extraordinary Teachers». He has visited Spain and Sakya Gephel Ling on different occasions. As spiritual heir of the Khön family, his life is fully dedicated to transmitting, with great wisdom and in a profound and accessible way, the blessings and teachings of the Holy Dharma, developing intense international activity in centers of America, Australia, India and Europe.

15:30h – Initiation of Vajrapani Bhutadāmara

Vajrapani, whose name in Sanskrit means “Vajra Holder”, he is a Dharmapala, Dharma guardian, protector and destroyer of obstacles. He is one of the three celestial Bodhisattvas of Mahayana Buddhism., conceived as angelic protectors and representatives of all the Buddhas of the past, present and future:

Avalokiteshvara, Compassion
Manjushri, Wisdom
Vajrapani, the power, spiritual energy and heroism
At the Sacred Sakyapa School, Vajrapani retreat is the first one recommended to remove obstacles in spiritual practice.

10:30h – Initiation of Amitayus, Tara Blanca and Nangelma

Amitayus is the Buddha of Infinite Life, long life aspect of Buddha Amitabha.
Long-life practices summon the life energy of the universe through meditation and visualization, strengthening and balancing our vitality, and promoting a longer and healthier life.

White Tara, closely related to Chenrezig (Bodhisattva of Compassion), It is especially linked to long-life practices.
Its white color symbolizes clarity. It has seven eyes - one on the forehead, two on the palms of his hands and two on the soles of his feet—representing the vigilance of his compassionate mind.
He is a particularly close deity, like a mother to her children, and its practice helps eliminate obstacles, cultivate peace, good fortune, wisdom and healing.

Nangyelma is a female deity who grants long life and purification.
As Buddha Shakyamuni taught, Recitation of your mantra can prolong life, purify negative karma and free from diseases, benefiting both oneself and other beings.

As the great Masters point out:

“We all need to carry out Long Life practices, to have a long life, healthy and with favorable conditions to develop a good heart.”
