We will have the honor of having the presence of the Venerable Ajahn Vajiro, Outstanding Buddhist teacher of the Theravada Tradition. Ajahn Vajiro, more than 40 Years of monastic life and deep knowledge of Buddhist philosophy, He will share his wisdom and answer questions about Buddhist practice and teaching.
Ajahn Vajiro is a Buddhist monk born in Malaysia in 1953. His spiritual journey began in 1977 When he met Luang for Chah and Ajah Sumedho in Hampstead Huhara in London. He joined the Buddhist monastic community in London in 1978 and received full order (in upasampad) del Venerable Ajahn Chah, Thailand, in 1980, After spending time at Wat Pah Nanchath.
Throughout his monastic life, Ajahn Vajiro has been fundamental in the establishment and support of Buddhist monasteries. He returned to England in 1984 And he played a key role in establishing the Amavati Buddhist monastery. Over the years, has lived in monastic communities in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia. in 2001, He returned to amaravati and subsequently moved to Portugal in 2012, where the Buddhist community currently leads in Sumedharama, about Lisbon.
