This year the proceeds will go entirely to the solar energy battery charger project for the Paonta Cholsum Tibetan Settlement Office in India. This office is a unit of the Central Tibetan Aid Committee of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.. \n  \n \nDatos básicos del proyecto: \n1. Project title: Cargador de baterías de energía solar para la sala de oración\, sala de conferencias\, RTYC and RTWA offices. \n2. Recipient: The entire settlement community. \n3. Executing agency: Oficina del Asentamiento Tibetano de Paonta Cholsum\, India. \n4. Cantidad Solicitada  2000€ \nAntecedentes del asentamiento: \nEl asentamiento tibetano de Paonta Cholsum se estableció en el año 1967 en Bhuppur\, en el estado de Himachal Pradesh India\, for 105 families with an initial population of 601 Tibetan refugees. Con el tiempo\, the population has increased. Actualmente\, has 125 families and a population of more than 1000 personas\, including residential school students and monks. El asentamiento se encuentra en las faldas del Himalaya\,  en el valle de Doon\, at a height of 3000 meters above sea level. Sus condiciones climáticas son extremas\, with temperatures varying from 5 °C a 46 °C. \nEn el asentamiento\, he 90% de los residentes obtienen su sustento vendiendo suéteres en diferentes estados de la India durante el invierno\, to finance their children's education and cover daily expenses.
