DEATH COFFEE ~ DEATH COFFEE TO TALK ABOUT LIFE

2 November | 18:30

Do you dare to meet with a group to have a coffee and talk about death? We invite you to participate in our coffee of life in an atmosphere of authenticity, respect and absolute confidentiality.

Death is something natural, uncontrastable, e inevitable.
In our 'developed societies', we are making it taboo. There is a strong tendency to put it aside, to eliminate it from life, to silence her. We set it aside by simplifying rituals and mourning in a new urgency, a new 'let's turn the page', adding more suffering to the pain. Facing this current, in this world of the immediacy of pleasure and haste, It seems strange to sit serenely, to share thoughts, ideas, questions, about death.
Human beings need to talk about death, normalize it, These coffees happen without a script, no objective, They are an invitation to speak openly together about ideas, doubts, fears and concerns, that overwhelms us all when we look at it in front. The meaning of this cafe is to create a space in which we are offered the opportunity to reflect, to share, and from there many questions arise. And we are realizing that there are no right or wrong answers.; here no one is right, or do we all have it; there are no defined colors, all shades are valuable. And most importantly, It is the experience that you are not alone, and that by talking we discover other perspectives and other ways of thinking that enrich us.
It is not a grief or therapy group., but a song to life. When we are aware of our finitude, what are we going to die of, we appreciate the privilege of life more. We propose a change of outlook, We invite you to put death at the center of our conversation and reflection to see it as an indicator of the meaning of life.
death, the great mystery, in the end, “death awaits us all”. Life is always changing.

POEM “A HEART SUDDENLY STOP BEATING” by Oscar Hahn
a heart suddenly
stop beating.
The body then
stop seeing,
stop listening,
stop feeling.
The heart is said
is the place
where love lives.
but love
is what keeps beating
when the heart
stop beating.
